New Delhi: The Supreme Court's bench recently issued notice to the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Medical Counseling Commission (NMC) while considering the law's petition for  MCC rule to limit medical students seeking admission in the first two allocation rounds. However, Roy Abraham, an attorney advising petitioners, argued that university/course transfers through mop-up rounds should be allowed if the purpose is to secure government seats.

To clarify that the proposal had not been made before, the Supreme Court issued a notice on the matter and listed it for another hearing on February 13, 2023.
